Vivian Madeleine Tax, LL.M.

Vivian Madeleine Tax was admitted to the bar in Berlin in 2026 and has since worked for the law firm JBB.

Her work focuses on the database-supported enforcement of air passenger rights, particularly compensation claims under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004.

Vivian Madeleine Tax studied law at the Free University of Berlin and Humboldt University of Berlin, specializing in intellectual property law with a focus on European law. Alongside her studies, she worked at a Berlin-based legal tech law firm.

After passing her First State Examination, she first worked for a Berlin law firm specializing in air passenger rights. She then completed the international Master’s program in European Law and Policies (MELP) in Rome, earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. She also worked in the administration of the German Bundestag.

Her legal traineeship at the Berlin Court of Appeal included placements at the Berlin Regional Court and the German Institute for Human Rights. There, she focused particularly on issues at the intersection of business and human rights.
