Tobias Sommer, LL.M.

Tobias Sommer has been practicing law since 2003, specializing in commercial law with a focus on intellectual property law (copyright, trademark, patent, and design law), competition law, and IT law. Since 2022, he has also been working in the field of AI law.

He is a certified specialist in copyright and media law as well as in industrial property law. With his extensive expertise, he joins the JBB team as Senior Counsel.

Tobias Sommer has contributed to legal commentaries, published numerous articles, and has practical experience as a journalist in print and television, including ten years as editor-in-chief of the legal magazine AdVoice. In addition to his legal practice, he works as a lecturer and journalist, as a mediator (including for the Berlin Bar Association), and volunteers as chairman of the conciliation board for competition disputes at the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

He has passed the notary examination and has since been available as a legal contact for all matters related to notarial services, particularly in inheritance law, real estate law, and corporate law.
