Till Jaeger has been a partner in the law firm JBB Rechtsanwälte since 2001. A particular focus of his work is the legal issues of open source software.

He is co-founder of the Institute for Free and Open Source Software Legal Issues (ifrOSS), and as a partner of the OpenChain project, he ad-vises on the various aspects of open source licence compliance. This includes in-house training and audits as well as open source due diligence, the introduction of an open source policy and legal representation in infringement cases.

Till Jaeger is also active in all licensing issues relating to intellectual property law. He focuses on database producer law, open data issues, and aspects of the use of AI in software development, image generation and text creation.

In addition, Till Jaeger advises companies and public administrations on classic copyright law, for example in the areas of open content, publishing law and photography.

The JUVE Handbook 2022/2023 again lists Till Jaeger as “often recommended” for the area of open source software. Clients appreciate his “impressive technical knowledge”.
