Before joining the firm, he worked as a legal officer for a public broadcaster. In addition to broadcasting law and media policy issues, he was involved in the negotiation of program and exclusive contracts as well as the further development of telemedia services in the public broadcasting sector.
Philipp Hellwig provides legal services for his cli-ents, including creative and media professionals, journalists, publishers, NGOs and start-ups. In particular, he offers his clients specialized and focused advice in the area of media law and representation before authorities and in court.
Philipp Hellwig studied at the University of Leipzig with a focus on media and information law. After passing the First State Examination in Law, Philipp Hellwig worked as a research assistant in the legal department of a Hamburg-based cultural production company.
During his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Dresden, he worked for a state media authority and in Berlin for one of the leading boutique law firms in the field of press law and reputation protection.
